It should be possible to select from existing pages, categories etc rather than having to enter URLs manually.
Ideally, it'd store their IDs but autocomplete or similar would suffice in the first instance

Yes, bump. I wrote an "about" section for my site last night, and it's clunky to paste the URL into the menu. It also opens a new tab instead of navigating in the same tab—sort of pulls users out in my opinion. Maybe a toggle for open in new tab if folks do like that ability?
Things like: /auth/login etc need to be added to this too
