It should be possible to define groups (via categories or other) & present them as separate listings on the frontend

Interesting idea. A name suggestion could be “collections.” It would be great if they were flexible enough to build their items dynamically using a query. My use case: a user submits a listing, a visitor becomes interested in that listing, and then also wants to see all other listings submitted by the same author.
