Hey Nuno/all. It's now possible to lock down a directory using via the 'Access' page. Currently supports password and IP whitelist. Just thinking about user accounts now Lou
Just saw the dashboard. Password and IP. Nice. Looking forward to user accounts. 😁
Just thinking about how they should work. Don't suppose you have any opinions/requirements? Im thinking something like: - Users have roles - You can optionally decide to lock down certain listings by role - Locked down listings either dont show at all, or are listed but have a 'sign up to view' flow when you open them. - You can optionally lock down the whole site behind registration flow - You can set default role that users get when signing up & also update from the backend. Could also add the option to pay a fee to join but will take a little longer Anything else to add?
Wow. That pretty much covers it. I was only thinking about "Locked down listings either dont show at all". Locking listings by role is a also a good idea. User roles could be pretty useful, like locking the ability to add more entries depending on role. As for locking down the whole site, that could be useful for those who want a more private board.
Can this also apply to listings? Hidden listing accessible only via link or granular permissions?
Thanks for the vote/clarifications Nuno. Wasnt sure if anyone would actually need this, so was on the back-burner. Have moved it up the priortiy list
Make it possible at least with a Password. This is essencial for: - Approvals (before publishing) - Private projects - Hidden projects
Hey Lou/all. That's user accounts in place too. You can find out how to use them here: http://get-listable.com/docs/managing-private-access. Im planning to add the ability to charge to join/upgrade roles too but will get to that later down the line/as required
